In 2013, Allied Vaughn began an engagement with ACDelco’s e-Commerce Department to create product information data for its diverse collection of automobile parts. Their goal was to improve visibility for ACDelco’s 90,000 parts at online retail sites and the ACDelco websites; support dynamic content in electronic and print catalogs; and increase internal access to accurate and current product attributes and information.
Allied Vaughn provides ACDelco with a team of information professionals with backgrounds spanning library and information science, journalism, marketing, archival studies and taxonomy. By cross collaborating with key internal departments, Allied Vaughn gathers information and expertise spread across a wide variety of departments and resources, resulting in high value content that is re-purposed throughout ACDelco. With adherence to current automotive industry standards and a focus on the needs of ACDelco’s varied customer base, Allied Vaughn creates content with functionality for online retailers, catalogs, internal systems, and marketing — pairing accuracy with accessibility throughout the process.
Allied Vaughn provides support and expertise in creating content that is versatile, accurate and ready to grow with ACDelco’s growth plans. We accomplish this by taking content from research and development to successful storage in ACDelco’s established Product Information (PIM) system, and onward into validation and release for internal and external use. Knowledge of research and records/information management allows Allied Vaughn to create the dynamic and detailed product content that ACDelco requires.
